The MGFI is affiliated with and receives money from several charities.  A small portion of the money donated to these charities is forwarded to the MGFI for administration and research usage.

Community Health Charities of Illinois. While some other charitable federations support a wide array of social service and welfare agencies, Community Health Charities of Illinois focuses strictly on health agencies devoted to the treatment and cure of diseases and disabilities such as myasthenia gravis, cancer, arthritis, heart disease, Alzheimer's, lung disease, lupus, diabetes, AIDS, mental health, and more - the diseases and illnesses that affect you and your loved ones.

The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Illinois, Inc. is pleased  that we are a member of the Community Health Charities of Illinois. Like United Way, CHC/IL obtains donations through voluntary contributions at the workplace. Payroll deduction is easy and convenient and provides recognition to the employer for their contribution to better health. If you designate your donation to a particular charity, 100% of your donation is received!

Employee appeal campaigns. Community Health Charities arranged access thousands of employees through employee appeal campaigns. Many school districts, as well as many governmental work sites like city, state and federal employees also participate.

We strongly encourage you to actively assist Community Health Charities of Illinois in opening doors to health agency payroll deduction possibilities in their workplaces. Our volunteers can help increase the dollars raised for MGFI through CHC/IL by reviewing whom you know: colleagues, family members, friends - it may even be you!

iGive.com  is an internet company whose goal is to enable the economic power of individuals to benefit their chosen communities.  Shop at the iGive.com Mall and a percentage (up to 27%) of every purchase goes to the MGFI.

Your Charity.  Individuals employed at work places that are receptive to allowing a choice for their charitable giving programs may be able to donate to the MGFI in this manner.  Contact the office for details.

United Way of Illinois.  A volunteer and professional association serving local United Ways. United Way of Illinois is an association of member United Ways who influence health and human service public policy issues impacting the nonprofit sector. The Association maximizes collaborative resources among local United Ways, nonprofits, foundations, donors and government.
