MG—THE SNOWFLAKE DISEASE

MG is a neurological disorder. It causes fluctuating weakness of the voluntary muscles of the body and can include a drooping eyelid, blurred or double vision, slurred speech, difficulty chewing and swallowing, weakness in the arms and legs, and difficulty breathing.

Symptoms can change from day to day—even hour to hour, sometimes making MG difficult to diagnose. MG affects each person so differently it sometimes is called “the snowflake disease.”

On April 14th, Central Dupage Hospital is presenting a complimentary program, Neurological and Neuromuscular Disease in Children, including a discussion of pediatric myasthenia gravis. To register for the program call 630-933-4234 or go to www.cdh.org/classes-activities for more information.

It's not too late to donate to our annual Calendar Club fundraiser!  Go to Donations- Calendar Club to donate or call the office to purchase tickets!
