Cash - This is the most straightforward asset you can donate to MGF of Illinois. Cash gifts are entirely deductible in the year in which they’re given, up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. Cash gifts to MGF of Illinois can be invested or used immediately depending on need.

Securities - If you have owned stock or other publicly traded securities for more than a year, there can be significant tax advantages to transfer the securities to MGF of Illinois. The value of the gift to MGF of Illinois is the same as the fair market value of the stock, but you do not have to pay any capital gains tax on the difference between the original worth of the stock compared to the current worth. You can deduct the full current value of the securities on your income tax as a charitable tax deduction.

Bequests - Many of us wish we could do more for MGF of Illinois during the course of our lifetime. You can insure that wish is carried out by naming MGF of Illinois  in your will.
