Setting a Course
MG can be treated with drugs, surgery and other therapies—alone or in combination. Treatment decisions take into account the severity of your disease, which muscles are affected, your age, and other associated medical problems.
Treatment for MG also includes self-care: getting plenty of sleep, resting your body and eyes during the day, and pacing your activities. It involves good nutrition, stress management, and exercise, too. Click here to learn more about living with MG.
Perhaps the most important tool is your own intuition. This means listening when your body says “that’s too much” and adjusting your activity accordingly. Sounds simple. But it takes time to recognize your body’s signals—and a fair amount of trial and error.
