Annual:  An annual MGFI meeting will be held on April 29th with Dr. Thomas Mizen, a neuro-opthalmology specialist, as its speaker. During this meeting, MGFI will conduct support group sessions, review of the annual report and progress reports and other business. A luncheon is available upon advance purchase

General Meeting:  Join us for our General Fall Meeting Sunday, October 21, at the Holiday Inn Skokie. We begin with lunch at noon. Dr. Rubenstein will discuss MG and sleep disorders beginning at 2:00pm, then we will have a panel available for general questions.

Upcoming Events:  In celebrating Myasthenia Gravis month, on Saturday, June 2, MGFI reserved tickets for a Kane Country Cougars game. Not only would you have fun with your family and friends, but you could also meet others affiliated with MGFI. Call the office for more details.

Local Support Groups:   Support groups help new and old patients, their families and friends learn about the disease and about new treatments. Support groups also help MG patients manage the everyday problems of this chronic disease.  They are scheduled throughout the year for your convenience. 

Phone Support: Call any of the listed call leaders for questions or comments you may have about MG and for individual counseling, and for information on MG & treatment options.  Phone support is also available form an MG Nurse.

MG Brochures: Many of copies of our educational materials are mailed annually.

Doctor referrals: Contact the office for referrals or refer to the list of  MGFI Medical Advisory Board members.

MGFA Services:  The national office provides many services to MGFI members.  See their web site for details.

MGFI Conquer: A quarterly newsletter issued by the MGFI.  Now you can receive your Conquer via e-mail.  Just contact the office.

Drug Discounts:  Provided through manufacturers, the state of Illinois and pharmacies.

Drug Interactions List A list of drugs that affect MG compiled by pharmacists.

Emergency Medical Card:  A wallet sized card for convenient and concise personal medical emergency information.
