UPDATE – June 24, 2020
In our practice session, we found there is a lot of material to cover. To honor your time commitment, it was decided to break this session into two parts. In the June 28 session, we will cover exercise with Julie Hossack and Julie Rowin. A session on meditative breathing/breathing exercises, led by Jill Crockett, will be scheduled separately.
- Julie Rowin, MD (website) will address concerns for those who have myasthenia.
- Jill Crockett, owner and instructor, Molcintah Yoga, will show breathing exercises that benefit every fitness level. (Ms. Crockett will speak in a later session)
- Julie Hossack, personal trainer, nutrition counselor, and Pilates instructor, Life Time Fitness, will demonstrate basic exercises to improve flexibility, balance, and strength.
Note: As of June 17, the registration link was changed from Zoom to a GoToWebinar platform to accommodate the large number of registrants. Those who registered in Zoom have been notified of the change.
Better sleep, better digestion, better mood, better mental clarity…many aspects of health are linked to exercise. Often, MG patients have been told to conserve energy to avoid MG weakness. When and how can you resume activity?
Click the green Register button to sign up for the webinar “Myasthenia & Exercise.” Can’t attend? Register and we’ll send a link after the session.
Now more then ever, it’s important to put energy into healthy practices. During Conquer MG’s Virtual Viking Run/Walk (June 14-30, 2020), we’d like to give you tools and encouragement to be active.
This webinar is perfect for those who want to “get off the couch,” or improve conditioning after illness.
